  • The beauty of the new iMac G5 is it comes bundled with cool software such as Front Row and Photo Booth.

Front Row intergrates iPhoto, iTunes and iMovie for you to navigate your photos, music and movies effortlessly using an accompanying remote control that features iPod-like click wheel buttons (unlike conventional TV/DVD remote controls you get in the market). It is really handy you don't need to get up from the comfort of your sofa to remote control your favourite DVD. We even get to watch loads of movie trailers via Front Row and it updates new trailers via a trailer RSS feed. And of course you need to get connected to the Internet. I can also use the small but beautiful remote control to navigate music and movies in my iPod Video.

We had a couple of crazy nights laughing at ourselves playing with PhotoBooth. It's a software that takes snapshots using a built-in iSight camera (another fantastic feature). You can add cool and crazy effects such as Sepia, X-Ray, Black & White, Twirl, Bulge, Fish Eye and many more. You can use the snapshots as a user ID photo, as a photo signature, iChat, or whatver you fancy. It really is fun.

The new iMac G5 contains a magnet that functions as a remote rest where you just stick the remote control on it (placed on the lower right side). Be warned though, data on a hard disk drive or iPod may be erased so it's a good idea to keep them and other magnetic media away from the remote rest.

We really love the new iMac G5. She's light, slim and boasts a very pretty 20 inch screen that gives a sharp and crisp graphics and images. She's also pretty fast and very powerful. We love the fact that she doesn't take a lot of space in the absence of a tower.

And I think it's sexier to treat my iMac G5 as a "she".
